Reversible AC Gearmotors

Our reversible AC-powered motors use permanent split capacitor (PSC) construction. They produce very little EMI, or electronic noise emissions, which interfere with sensors and other electronics. They are best suited for intermittent duty applications. For continuous duty motors, check out our shaded pole unidirectional AC motors.

PSC motors are available in 240 VAC, 120 VAC or 24 VAC.  These motors are thermally protected.  The 240 VAC and 120 VAC windings are UL and CSA recognized components (catagoy XEWR2 or XEWR8, file E69477). Additionally, they are also RoHS and REACH rated.

The gearboxes are permanently lubricated with synthetic gear grease.  The gearing material is steel, although plastic parts can be used for noise reduction if the loading is light. Ball bearings are used ensure higher efficiency and longer life.

The output shaft of the gearbox can be made to your specs, and may include a variety of features like flats, holes, threading, tapping or keyways.  We will make whatever you need! We also keep many common designs in stock. The shafts can be case-hardened, and are supported in your choice of bushings or needle bearings.

Accessories include linear motion, slip-clutches, cams and limit switches, low-temperature grease, custom termination and wire harnesses, brakes.....or whatever else you may require!
